Writing can be a challenging and often discouraging journey. Many of us start with high hopes, but somewhere along the way, the doubts creep in. Maybe you aren’t getting the recognition you expected, or perhaps the results seem slow. But before you throw in the towel, I have one piece of advice for you: Write 99 articles before you quit writing.

This might sound arbitrary, but there’s a reason behind it. The journey of writing is transformative, and the process of creating 99 pieces of work teaches you more than you might imagine. Before deciding that writing isn’t for you, give yourself the space to grow, improve, and truly understand what you’re capable of. Here’s why:

1. Finding Your Voice Takes Time

When you start writing, it’s likely that your voice hasn’t fully developed yet. You might be mimicking others or trying to fit into what you think readers want. But the magic of writing happens when you find your own unique style. That takes time, practice, and experimentation. By the time you’ve written 99 articles, you’ll likely have discovered your authentic voice — one that resonates with both you and your audience.

2. Improvement Comes with Repetition
