There comes a point in our lives where we all, in some form or another, crave a shift in perspective — a way to see beyond the day-to-day grind and mundane routines. Be it through deep meditation, the euphoria of achievement, or even the controversial route of substances, the need for a higher state of consciousness is universal. We all want to transcend the ordinary, break out of our shells, and discover something new about ourselves and the world around us.
But what does it truly mean to “get high”? The phrase usually conjures images of altered states, typically associated with drugs or psychedelics, but it can go far beyond that. Getting high is simply about elevating our minds — whether through conversation, creativity, or self-reflection. It’s about rising above the daily noise, finding clarity, and engaging in a deeper dialogue with ourselves.
