It feels like everything sucks, doesn’t it? We’ve all been there. Whether it’s the endless news cycles filled with doom and gloom, the overwhelming expectations of work, or the monotony of day-to-day life, there comes a point when we just feel… bored. But not the kind of boredom where you just don’t have something to do. No, this is deeper — an existential boredom, a feeling of “Is this really it?”

We’re more connected than ever, constantly scrolling through our phones, swiping through apps, absorbing information, and yet, here we are — disconnected, overwhelmed, and frankly, bored out of our minds. Let’s talk about why that is and what we can do about it.

The Overstimulation Paradox

In a time where everything is available at our fingertips, from instant entertainment to fast-paced social media, you’d think boredom would be a thing of the past. But in reality, this hyper-connectivity has led to a different kind of boredom — a mental exhaustion from being overstimulated.
