One of the oldest and the most significant ways of expressing one’s self is through art.

Man has been producing for thousands of years and it has played a great role in understanding people’s lifestyles throughout different eras. Art is, undoubtedly, one of the most important parts of history.

When we talk about art, we cannot ignore the importance that Islamic art holds in society.

Ever since the emergence of strong Islamic societies in the 7th century, various depictions of their art and architecture can be found in today’s society.

From the grand mosques produced by the Muslim rulers of Turkey and Spain to the Taj Mahal in India, we just cannot deny the elegance and grace of Islamic art.

Islamic architecture not only consists of the art created by Muslims but it includes all art produced in Islamic societies. It can be created by a Muslim or a non-Muslim — it would still be considered a part of Islamic art and architecture.
